Clase Azul - San Luis Potosi Mezcal

This mezcal is crafted from wild-grown green agave found in the deserts of the state that gives it its name. Its unique profile stems from a time-honored, regional process that involves steam cooking, milling with a Chilean mill, juice extraction with a tahona and distillation in traditional copper stills.

The decanter crafted for this edition pays homage to the Huachichil, nomads of the deserts of San Luis Potosí. Engravings on the base depict their territory: valleys and mountains dotted by green agave as well as the finch which they revered. The cap, meanwhile, presents a beautiful dreamscape overflown by red finches.

Handmade by Mexican artisans who use colored yarn to create intricate designs, the cap represents a red finches in flight under a starry sky, keeping vigil over the oneiric landscape of desert mountains and valleys where the Huachichil used to wander.
